Quick Calculation Guide

To make metrics support flexible data analysis scenarios, the metric platform provides quick calculation capabilities on the metric query side.

Quick calculation consists of three parts: quick derivation, time limits, and business limits.

Quick Derivation

The quick derivation module provides quick configuration for period-over-period comparison, ranking, and percentage of total. Its calculation logic is exactly the same as the calculation logic in metric definitions.

Description

If a metric already has a derivation method, such as period-over-period comparison configured in the metric definition, it cannot be derived again in quick derivation.

Period-Over-Period Comparison

Metric Type Availability Conditions for Period-Over-Period Comparison
Basic metric Metric date is used in grouping or filtering.
Metric with a time limit Meets either of the following conditions: * Metric date is used in grouping. * Metric date exists in filtering and is a point-in-time filter.

Ranking

No special restrictions.

Percentage of Total

No special restrictions.

Time Limits

Add a time limit to a metric.

Description

If a metric already has a time limit, adding another time limit is not supported.

Business Limits

You can add business limits to a metric. There are no special restrictions.
